Mel England has always loved make-up and the
way it can transform and enhance a woman’s
natural beauty. She is also passionate about
helping her client feel a million dollars on
her wedding day (or on any other special occasion).
She aims to empower women to feel amazing every
day of the week and so takes great pleasure
in also offering makeup lessons to her clients.
Mel has been a makeup artist for ten years,
having trained with London Esthetique, Colour
Me Beautiful and Jemma Kidd. She started her
career in London and now works as a freelance
makeup artist specialising in weddings in the
Harrogate & surrounding North Yorkshire
area.
She sees her role as to make you feel totally
at ease on your big day, to help you look and
feel your most beautiful self, radiant, glowing
and worthy of your big red carpet moment!

interested and keen to find out the sort

at my make up and described what she felt

had gotten completely “fed-up”
with my look. I use make up but I have never
been confident in using eye make-up and
didn’t know how to go about learning.
Mel was brilliant. She got me to bring all
my own make up so she could review what
I was using and how I was using it. She
showed me how to use my make up properly.
More importantly, I didn’t feel like
I had to go out and “buy” everything
that she used as a make up artist. She ensured
that I learned what to do by firstly showing
me how she would colour one eye and I did
the other on my own – surprisingly,
they matched!!! It was a lovely relaxed
hour and a half. I came away feeling like
my all over make-up was very nicely done.
I am much more confident now in building
up the colour around the face and eye area
without looking like I’ve been out
all night on the raz!! I’d highly
