Harrogate
& District Naturalists' Society
The
Society was formed in 1947 as the Harrogate &
District Naturalist & Scientific Society, the
present title being adopted in 1958. Its aim is to
promote the study and enjoyment of wildlife in all
its forms and to disseminate the knowledge of natural
history. The Society takes an active and practical
interest in the conservation of wildlife resources
and supports efforts to safeguard the natural diversity
of species.

Chess Club
Harrogate
Chess Club is a small and friendly chess club which
caters for players of all ages and abilities. New
players are always welcome to come along on club nights
and play friendly games with other members. The club
meets at the Convent of the Holy Child, off Oatlands
Drive, Harrogate every Monday night between 7pm and
11pm throughout the season, which runs from August
through to May.
